Happy Trails

26 Mar

We left at 3:30 this morning under the stars of the Arizona desert to drive to the airport for the flight home. It’s hard to leave behind such raw beauty.

I used to think of the desert as a dead place. Dry, dusty and littered with the skulls of dead cattle. I couldn’t have been more wrong. It’s alive with birds, rabbits, hawks, lizards, coyotes and incredibly beautiful plants. I want to grow cacti in my backyard. Do you think it’s possible in the GWN (Great White North)? I’m going to give it a try!
